Correctional Facility

The Bedford County Correctional Facility (BCCF) confines a variety of individuals with different charges.  BCCF utilizes an ongoing classification process, which begins when an inmate is received into the facility, and continues until the inmate is released.  As such, it is a process intended to address the needs of the individual, as well as those of the facility.  The classification process manages the total population with regard to housing, programming and facility work assignments.  Decisions are based on information related to the individuals present functioning, as well as personal, criminal, institutional, psychological, medical, and social histories.  BCCF shall not discriminate against any person based on sex, race, age, color, disability, religion, national origin, or political or religious beliefs.
